What Marketing Means To Me

David Ogilvy, the father of modern marketing, wisely stated, “What really decides consumers to buy or not to buy is the content of your advertising, not its form.” With the world so full of distractions & in-your-face ads, it is easy to forget that marketing serves a sole purpose—connecting needs with solutions. I believe that a simple, relatable, & informative message is the best way to reach people. Saying too much to a customer, or providing the wrong information, has the same impact as saying nothing at all.

My primary focus for the last fifteen years has been in search engine optimization (SEO) & omnichannel marketing—a specialization which directly connects a customer’s needs (search query) with a solution (your website). My career has grown around establishing my client’s websites as more effective & relatable digital destinations by implementing content strategies that connect with audiences & technical enhancements that help search engines understand what you have to say. This forces me to identify a website’s audience, what they want to see, & how they want to see it. My role as an omnichannel expert has allowed me to manage marketing campaigns which incorporate TV, radio, social media, direct mail, paid search, & custom content development. I work with each marketing channel to establish a unified message that positions my clients as the go-to destination to fulfill customer needs, when & how a customer wants to interact with them.
